Good work, I'm pretty sure it wasn't that easy. I've been a commercial graphic designer since the days of marker pens and India ink. Working for a wide variety of clients, from mattress stores to aerospace manufacturers, I learned my craft on the job. When the time came to turn to digital imaging, I purchased a Tandy-made IBM PC clone and got to work with something called Windows and Adobe. Through the years I've kept the tools sharp and clean.
For twenty-five years, we also ran a family business in American Indian Arts, Kiva Trading Company. When retirement began to beckon, I began to write some fiction and work in publication design. Once retired, in 2007, I was able to focus upon book and cover design for Independent Authors, bringing a good combination of effective graphics targeting the reader market and keeping the cost of my services to an affordable level for aspiring authors like me. It seems you can tell a book from its cover. The most important, single idea a book cover should tell a potential reader is that to get all your questions answered, you only need to buy this book. Book covers, now that online marketing and sales are the prime force in publishing, remain the most effective investment in a single marketing tool. Visibility and exposure are the watchwords now. Having a cover that draws the reader in and suggests internal questions, can work across many mediums and online social networks. It's what I do. I can also create author header graphics, email headers and online advertising. Pretty much anything your writing business will need in terms of graphics and communications tools. I'll also post informative articles I've penned over the past few years.
